Alykes is a suburb of Volos and is located about 5km from the city. It is a seaside and highly developed area with many options for food and drink.
Alykes or Nees Pagases are built along the sea and are a magnet for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.
On the hill “Soros”, just outside of Alykes, there are remains of the Ancient settlement Pagases and the sanctuary of Greek God Apollo. In Alykes there is an organized awarded beach.
